THE BRONX, NY — The Yankees continued their series with the Orioles at the stadium today. They took the game 12-3 over Baltimore, securing the series win. They will go for the sweep tomorrow night.

Pitching Spotlight

Max Fried was not his best. His command was off the entire outing. It resulted in a shorter outing by his standards, but his defense did him no favors. His overall numbers at Yankee Stadium in 2026 have not been good so far with an ERA sitting at six coming into the day.

The 107 pitches is a season high. It could have been much worse, but the ace gene in him was able to prevent further deals.

Hitting Spotlight

The spotlight is the entire eighth inning. The Yankees scored seven runs, capped off by three RBI's in the frame, including a homer by Jasson Dominguez.

The Yankees led by just one run coming into the frame. They needed insurance runs. Instead, the Yankees just broke the game open to really seal the deal and make everyone's Sunday afternoon's easier.

The Yankees putting up innings like this is what makes this team so fun to watch. Everyone had good at-bats and contributed to runs scoring.

Notable

Ben Rice left the game with a left hand contusion after Fried attempted a pick-off at first base. X-Rays on the hand came back negative and the Yankees listed him as day-t0-day. We should have more information after the game.

What's Next?

The Yankees will go for the Sweep of the Orioles tomorrow. It will be Shane Baz for the O's against Cam Schlittler for the Yankees. It will be a 7:05pm start on YES Network.
