- Will Warren’s Final Line:
- 5.2 IP | 4H | 0R | 0ER | 4K | 1BB | 77P | 4.86ERA
Will Warren looked fantastic tonight, walking only one batter, something he has struggled with this season so far. Warren had a rough second inning, allowing back-to-back hits, then a walk after getting a 6–6–3 double play, but came out unscaved.
- First off, Ben Rice might be the unluckiest hitter I have ever seen. He barrels up two balls, and gets retired both times. Case and point: Ben Rice’s ops is .806. His expected OPS is .971

- The Yankees had some opportunities, but the Royals brought their gloves tonight, robbing both Rice and Bellinger of extra bases and RBI’s.
- The Yankees scored their run on a really weird play, ruled a hit by Goldschmidt, but Reyes was somehow able to score after some defensive miscues from the Royals, but ruled an RBI single.
- Williams came in and pitched a 1–2–3 inning, their fourth 1–0 win of the year, the most in the MLB.
